Who we are

Breanne Dunn, ASLA Owner

As a grant writer and community strategist, Breanne leverages her diverse background in landscape architecture, community-driven planning, and volunteer work to increase equity within our local community. She has a track record of helping secure over $60 million in funding for municipal projects in Ventura and Santa Barbara disadvantaged communities. Projects include major initiatives like the Children’s Park Renovation Project in Isla Vista, the Santa Paula Unified School District’s Green Schoolyard Projects for three elementary schools and two early learning centers, and several other local public mulit-use trail projects.

She founded Purposed Community Consulting to expand her practice to supporting local non-profits whose initiatives are also vested in co-creating a more just world for all. Currently she serves a neighborhood community benefit organization for a local disadvantaged community, an afterschool program who helps children fully step into mental, physical and spiritual fitness, an organization who provides job training and long-term employment to adults with autism, and is working with several others to realize their vision of providing vital community-based offerings. Her passion is empowering these organizations in both spaces seen and unseen by helping them strategize and obtain the resources necessary to reach their goals. She believes when we are in collective alignment for the greater good, anything is possible- we’re always better together.
